it just makes us realise we never know what the future holds. to think something like that could happen in teh biggest city in the world and claim so many lives. it's scary how out of the blue it was.

7 years? I still remember it all clearly, and I was so young at the time. I remember coming home from school and my mum in tears telling me about what had happened.

Scarlett.

I was on a school holiday at the time (we went back early August back then)

Me and my bro where watching Pokemon (the movie) then when it finished, we saw it and called our mum to the TV

Yeah I have been watching a few videos, it takes something to make me upset and angry, and that does it.
I am still shocked that this has happened, the people behind all the terrorism really do need torturing and left to die

I was in year 5 i think...
mummy told me in the car on Thirsk grove....

I randomly watch/read/look at 9/11 things every few weeks...it is one of them events that just bewilder me.

I

I know. I watched one video and a man was in was one of the buildings just before it collapsed, and he was shouting for help and then you just hear the person on the end of line shouting 'OH GOD. OH MY GOD.' it must have been so terrifying.

I always listen to the slow version of "Heaven" by DJ Sammy with the little girl talking about how her dad died in 9/11 when this time of year comes along. I cry my eyes out. :bawling:

I remember it clearly too.

It still shocks me to think that something of that magnitude actually happened - and I can count a few things that make me feel that way. It blurs the boundaries a bit between what's real and what isn't (e..g what's portrayed in films). It's so awful - RIP. It shocks me to think of some of the atrocities that go on the world, and even though I was 10 (pretty innocent age to be) when this happened - it made me wake up to that fact.

Erm, I'll get a full description.

Here:

Tania Head has claimed that she was on the 78th floor of the South Tower when the first plane hit . However, none of her statements have been verified. She claimed that a man named "Dave" was her fiancée/husband (however he was probably a guy who was the object of her unreturned affections - Read: STALKER!). The guy's family has never heard of her. She also claimed that she worked for Merrill Lynch & Company (formerly located at the World Trade Center), but the company has no idea who she is, either.

Other parts of her story are that she saved by a guy in a red bandana(who's conveniently dead), and that some poor soul had given her his wedding ring, which was inscribed with his and his wife's names (which, of course in her heroic valor, she later returned to his devastated widow).

I liked Amy Ting aswell, she seemed lovely:)

Shame about the Tanya woman - even though what she did do was terrible, she did secure a tour of Ground Zero for survivors, which in some ways was good. Its a shame that people are saying she commited suicide though.

Can we have an Amy Ting fanclub? Or is that disrespectful or sumat, even though shes still alive.

Yeah, and she did a lot of good for the survivors. I don't agree with what she did, but a lot of the good work she did for them has been disputed.
