Housemates discovered a potter's wheel in the garden after Big Brother released them from the bedroom for tonight's mini-task.

Nadia read out the laminate, with difficulty, from which the housemates learnt they would be making three vases.

But with the housemates fettered in pairs, one half of each couple is only allowed to use their left hand, while the other can only use their right.

Housemates put on plastic capes to protect their clothes as Dan and Nadia sat down at the wheel.

Getting slightly frantic with Dan, Nadia told him, "Just mould it..."

"...Daniel" he said, finishing off her sentence for her.

While the first potters were getting their hands dirty, Michelle let Stuart know she didn't wanted anything else getting dirty. "I'm watching at all times," she told him as they grabbed a snog on the bench.

Michelle broke off from kissing long enough to tell Shell, "And Princess, it's not like 'Ghost', OK?"

But that didn't stop her from singing "Unchained Melody" while Dan and Nadia moulded the spinning clay.

The housemates have finished their mini pottery task.

Dan and Nadia succeeded in making a vase of sorts. It might not fetch millions at auction, but it looks like it could hold some flowers.

Michelle and Jason were the next chained pair to try the potter's wheel. It looked like they were a smooth-running team as Jason's left hand shaped the outside of the vase and Michelle's right moulded the inside.

Their design was more ambitious than Dan and Nads' slightly stunted effort, but with that comes a greater degree of difficulty. They were soon having problems with the clay at the top of the vase flopping about and getting out of shape.

But they repaired the damage and got into a rhythm again to produce a quite acceptable-looking vase.

Next up were Stuart and Shell. Shell has ambitions of being a sculptress and immediately showed a technique the others lacked.

Building from the bottom, Shell, with Stu's help, moulded a spectacular but undeniably phallic piece.

"Could you take that, Dan?" asked Jason.

"Probably not," he replied.

Michelle told Nadia she thought her and Dan's vase was the best, though she was also proud of hers and Jason's. Whatever, it wasn't Stuart and Shell's.

"That's just show-off city," said Jason of the most crafted piece produced.

As part of the mini-task housemates then voted on whose vase had the best shape. They went for Dan and Nadia's and the pair went off to the Diary Room to pick up a reward.

"Well done guys," grinned Michelle. "I'm so pleased you guys got it."

But Shell and Stu were pleased with their effort, admiring it despite their defeat.

"Not quite good enough," said Michelle cheerfully behind them.

The winning duo returned from the Diary Room with a reward of choccies, which they've generously agreed to share with the group when this week's task is over.

Let's hope the chocoholics in the House don't suffer the same weak will as the nicotine fiends...

Wheely Rude

After tonight's pottery task, Shell and Stu decided to carry on at the wheel and make something else. And what they made really was something else.

As Nadia and Dan went to the Diary Room to collect their chocolate reward, Nadia told Michelle Shell and Stu were making another pot in the garden.

"Tell them to make one for me," said Michelle as she washed up with Jay.

It was Stuart who was making the artwork and pretty soon it was getting out of hand.

"That's looking pretty dodgy there, Stu," said Shell as the clay began to take on the unmistakable form of an erect penis.

"You could make it into a dinosaur head, I suppose," suggested Shell, helpfully.

"I might just go with what it looks like," said Stu, as he made it look even more like what it looked like.

"It would be incredibly relaxing to have one of those," said Shell, talking about the potter's wheel, we think.

To amuse himself even more, Stuart put the wheel at high speed and swung the clay willy round as the pair laughed.

And after showing off his glistening tumescence to Dan and Nadia, Stuart destroyed his creation and tried to make something less obscene...
