BILL Bailey has quit Never Mind The Buzzcocks – after 11 series with the BBC2 satirical show.

The comedian has left the comedy pop quiz due to other commitments which have meant he’s too busy to take part.

But host Simon Amstell will return to the new series when it starts next month, as well as team captain Phill Jupitus.

And guest stars music ace Mark Ronson, X Factor host Dermot O’Leary, Frank Skinner, Jack Dee, Johnny Vegas and Bob Mortimer will also add some laughs to the series.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks will return to BBC2 from Thursday, October 2.

I really hope they don't replace him with Noel Fielding like they did when he was on tour...I cannot STAND Fielding.

I dont think they could get Fielding for an entire series tbh But whoever it is, they best be good. I wouldn't mind sombody like Alan Davis or maybe even JLC.

If your idea of comedy is a gender-confused glittery bag of randomness, I suppose he would be.

Personally, I prefer my humour to be above "LOL A PURPLE RACOON ON THE SUNDIAL..." or whatever bollocks he comes out with.

How could a gender-confused glittery bag of randomness not be funny?
