Should definately launch on Sunday 4th January IMO, and finish on a Friday - so either 20 or 27 days.

However, the longer the show runs, the further down the Z-list you go. I'd be happy with a couple of weeks if it meant a better calibre of celeb.

It should be about the 5 week mark.... enough time to get to know the housemates and enjoy the show.

The Sex likes a 3 - 4 week show. It's enough for personalities to come out and short enough to appreciate things before getting bored. With good housemates (which CBB usually manages to pick correctly) 3 weeks would be enough and leave people wanting more, unlike the summer shows where you turn off half way through.
