my dad

my dad's just rung me, he was at work [bus driver], and he was standing outside the yard having a cigarette, as were about 10 other drivers, and a drunk driver came onto the pavement and mowed them all down.. luckily my dad was right at the back, so he's just covered in grazes, but there's at least 2 of his friends who are in hospital and it's really serious...
it's so weird thinking that that could easily have been my dad :shocked:

yeah, i think i will. there's a couple of broken arms but that's it other than the guys who are in hospital, my dad just got in and doesn't want to talk about it. It's all a bit weird.. He's mainly concerned about the fact that now the head office should let them smoke in the yard :rolleyes:

It seems to be a bit more difficult being a bus driver than I would have thought, last year one that my dad had trained who was really really fit got held at gun point with a sawed off shotgun for the till thing, and since he's been back driving he's fat :sad:

It's scary when you hear stories like that! I've heard so many from 7/7. This woman at my mums work decided to get off a station early (the station just before the bomb went off) because she fancied getting some exersize. If she hadn't.. she could be dead.

And I know someone who decided not to get in the carriage WITH the bomb in it because it was too crowded... creepy!
