SOUL diva Mariah Carey is set to take on Britney Spears in a star-studded X Factor live show in December.
Mariah, 38, is in negotiations with show bosses who are finalising her demands.
But she is adamant she will appear as she is a massive fan of Simon Cowell.
A show insider said: “It is almost done and dusted and they are finalising a date and some of the fine print.
“As always with Mariah there are a few clauses that need to be agreed on and a fuss will have to be made over her.
“Once she heard that Britney Spears was doing it she knew it was the show for her.”
There are ten live shows kicking off on October 11.Other stars who have signed up include Take That, Girls
