It was confirmed that it starts straight after season 4 in the UK, I think. So we'll be 4 weeks behind the US.

it starts in the UK around the end of October/start of November

no we are watching the other half of series 4 now because it stopped for a bout a month because of the writers strike but season 5 is coming on october the 15th i just found out and if anybody cares there are 24 episodes unlike season 4 when there was only 17

i hate watching desperate housewives online because the quality is very low and i would rather just watch it on channel 4 a couple of weeks later

Some of them are quite good! If you get a Divx link, the quality is HD, even better than regular cable! I watched the last episode of heroes online on a great #hD link

Not for me. I download it through a blog and it takes about 45 minutes to download. It's in full HDTV as well.

I do it now with all US TV shows.
