Right basically my college is doing Sweeney Todd this year, and I am determined to get in, as I've been basically obsessed with this film since it came out, and I saw the musical live a while before that.
Anyway, the auditions are next week and I'll be 100% fine for the acting one, but I have no idea what to sing. My performing arts teacher told me earlier that I should try to avoid singing a song from the musical, because everyone will be...
So, I have no idea... Slow? Fast? Aaaahhhh
Suggestions? :conf:

How about Fields of Gold? Simple so you can't mess up, and easy to show off vocal ability in.
We're having a gang bang?

Yeahhh but I rarely hear it being sung
You could sing Gimme More =P but you'll probably be told where to go.
If you have a good vocal range, you could try Hurt or Beautiful [Xtina].
Or something edgier like damien rice orr pink [nobodyknows/whoknew?]

I wanna do something that'll show I can sing in character, and I'm going for Mrs Lovett.. Those who've seen it, any ideas?!
I'm thinking winehouse maybe, I know loads of her stuff and they're all safe as far as my vocals are concerned...
OH GOD I'M NERVOUS ALREADY!
