Finding affiliates for a fan site

How do people find affiliates for their fan sites? I run a Richard Branson fan site and would like to find affiliates to get more traffic.

They probably message/email the admins of other fan sites and ask to affiliate?

They have to email each site individually then wait for a response? Is there no other way?

There's normally a form to fill on on their website.
Like on mine, there's a form, and it gets sent to my address then I reply when I've added their link and they add me. Normally, the person applying adds that link first.

I think since you insulted my site you should at least explain yourself constructively as to how I could improve it.
