Vanessa Hudgens has claimed that she was attacked outside London's Apollo Theatre, quashing earlier reports that it was her boyfriend Zac Efron.
The High School Musical couple had been watching the stage adaptation of Rain Man when a middle-aged man allegedly tried to grab Efron's hair.
Hudgens told Access Hollywood that she was left with a cut and bloody cheek following the reported assault.
"I actually got hit in the face. If anything, I was the one who got attacked, not Zac," she said.
Efron said he didn't realise what was happening until he was inside their waiting car. "I just heard about it. I was just focused on [the] van door - I've gotta get to it," he said.
