Shell's mum has hit back at claims that her daughter is only stripping off to win votes, in an interview with The Mirror.

"She's not doing it for votes - absolutely not," her mother, Ellie, told the newspaper. "That's not the kind of girl she is."

Ellie is also angry at how the show is edited to make Shell look posh.

"She's far from posh, she only went in there to pay off family debts," Ellie explained.

"We are a single parent family. Some people have made us out to be rolling in it. We aren't. We are the opposite.

"However, Shell has taken this in her stride and decided to do this to get money and go on and further her education.

"The kids have supported themselves through university. They have to because I can't. Money is extremely tight.

"It's wrong that people are saying she's posh. Just because she's got an English accent doesn't mean to say that she's posh. She buys all her clothes at charity shops. She's a very down-to-earth girl."

I like to point out at this point that Shell has cooked for the Housemates, Cleaned for the Housemates and has even tended to the Lawn

Just for that effort she deserves to make it past Wednesday.

She has not been a villain

She has not "had more faces than Big Ben"

She has been devoted to Scott

I don't dislike Shell, I'm sure she's a really lovely person, I just don't find her interesting to watch in the slightest and I might not even notice her abscence if she goes on Wednesday.

I'm putting all my votes Jason's way and I'm afraid I'm not sparing any for Shell.

well she had to keep up her energy so all she did was eat but it might not of done her any favours as stuart might not like big women and by god she looks big now

If Stuart uses the fact that Michelle has put on weight to dump her, then he wasnt worth much in the first place. My OH was quite worried when I decided to go on a diet really so I could get into a special outfit for a posh wedding. He said he loved me the way I was and the only way he would push me to lose weight would be if it was dangerous to my health. I have done lost quite a bit of weight and am two sizes smaller than at Christmas. He is proud of me for the fact that I have kept to it, but I know he wouldnt feel any different whatever size I was. So I hope for Michelle's sake Stuart has the same attitude.

As for Shell. She is obviously someone who is on the go all the time normally and I think the cooking is part of this. It stops her being bored. I think she has been herself - and what we see is what she is. I definitely would vote for her ahead of both Jason and Stuart.
