Rumors of a Danity Kane breakup have been in the air for months and last week on Making the Band, it was confirmed that Aubrey O'Day was kicked out of the group and implied that D. Woods would be right behind her.

The worst kept secret in reality TV has been further confirmed by D. Woods airing out dirty laundry via a remake of T.I. and Jay-Z's "Swagger Like Us," taking the track one step closer to overtaking "A Milli" for the "Most Overused Beat of the Ever" award. No DK member is named specifically but D. Woods seems to be directing her ire primarily at Dawn Richard, who is predictably accused of being jealous of her swagger. Expect more details on this week's season finale of Making the Band. Roll your eyes all you want but you know you'll be watching.

On October 14, 2008, D. Woods was declared no longer a member of Danity Kane, as well as fellow bandmate and best friend Aubrey O'Day.

Also, existing members Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex will still be carrying on with Danity Kane.

My thoughts:

Reading through sites, that was posted on Oct 14th, so reliable. Also, it will probably be everywhere today.

Arghhh, I CAN'T believe it!! :@ I'm so annoyed. (Darenn will be more annoyed than me) - Aubrey IS Danity Kane, what are they doing? D.Woods has an AMAZING voice too. I just don't know what to think. I like the rest of the band, Dawn, Shannon and Aundrea but omg it won't be the same without D.Woods and Aubrey.

I'll be looking forward to their solo stuff or they might join and sing together.
I can't believe it though, P.Diddy basically told them to piss off.

Instead of making a scandal by kicking two members out of the band to get publicity they should be doing something like actually promoting them and their singles.
Their latest album was probably one of my favorites of this year. So much potential singles. Damaged should have been a #1 and Bad Girl was such a flop. They should have left Bad Boy when they had the chance.

R.I.P. Danity Kane

OMFG
I'M SO ANNOYED
HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?
AUBREY IS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST MEMBER OF DANITY KANE.
THIS IS MESSED UP!!

Diddy LOVED Aubrey. You could tell that all the way through MTB3.
She was by far one of his favourite girls there and with Aundrea, were fantastic entertainment.
She's changed so much since then and I still think she's the best singer and dancer in the group [although they're all pretty close if I'm honest, I am biased lol]
She brought them all the headlines, all the publicity.
There's not one girl in the band I dislike, and he goes and bloody destroys them.
I started to like Diddy. I've always hated him but due to DK's success I was actually starting to like him.

HE ONLY KICKED OUT AUBREY BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONLY GIRL STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND UP TO HIM.
She's a strong woman, and Diddy don't like that. He kept whisking Dawn away to work on solo projects. That's hardly fair on the other girls who are arguably equally/more talented.

D Woods is amazingly talented too. How could he let the pair of them go?
Danity Kane for me is no more, and I definitely will not be following their career.
Don't get me wrong, I wish them all the luck, but Aundrea, Shannon and Dawn alone are not Danity Kane.
I'm gonna continue to listen to both 'Danity Kane' and 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' but I'm not gonna bother listening to anything else they produce. It won't ever be the same.
The girls DID have chemistry once upon a time. Their live performances were fantastic, they would give a real show and actually sang+danced at the same time [even though that meant their vocals slipped, credit where credit's due, huge superstars tend to mime when dancing].

They should have left Bad Boy as a fivesome.
They are, in my eyes, the best girlband EVER. I love all their songs, and all the members. There's not another girlband that I've liked as much as them.
Record Labels would love to pick them up as they produce great music. The A Capella of Damaged on TRL gave me shivers. Perfect Harmonies.
They needed more promotion and Bad Boy wouldn't give them that. 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' could've been a worldwide success.
Diddy ruined Danity Kane, and although I wish them luck, I do kinda hope they flop [even more] to prove to him that you can't just tear a band apart.
I have so much respect for D Woods now that she followed Aubrey.

Diddy just didn't like that someone stood up to him, and because he couldn't win the argument, he just threw her out of the group [although in all honesty, Aubrey didn't look that upset].

I will definitely follow Aubrey's solo career. She's a talented girl who I really wish I could go see on Broadway. I may follow D Woods if I like her music but I can see her going down the R&B route as opposed to the Pop/Dance one; which isn't my sorta thing.

Goodbye Danity Kane.
I wish I'd had the opportunity to see the five of you live.

THERE'S STILL HOPE!

Just when you thought it was over…it's not!

PerezHilton.com has learned that Diddy's Making The Band is returning in early 2009 with "bonus episodes."

What the hell is a "bonus episode?"

Oh, wait, we know. It's a marketing gimmick!

In the show's "finale", we saw the Mutt-Make-Out-Slut, Aubrey O'Day, and D. Woods get the axe from Danity Kane. The new bonus episodes will chronicle the uncertain future of Danity Kane and oh yeah, those other Bad Boy artists…or whatever.

Who are they again?

We're pretty sure that Diddy's decision to boot Aubrey and D. Woods from the band was just a ploy to keep making money off of unsuspecting fans, and that the "master star maker and a genius at creating drama" will be bringing the ousted members back.

Because what could be more shocking than kicking them out?

Inviting them back in!

EVP Series Development & Programming at MTV, Tony DiSanto, said, "There is so much more story to tell, amazing music and great drama to come. With Diddy you never quite know exactly what's next…But it's pretty certain you won't be able to take your eyes off!"

Oh is that so?

We can take our eyes off just long enough to roll them, thank you very much!

Perez is right, Most MTV shows are really staged and at the end of the day Danity Kane is just a brand really. They've just created some controversy to bring the ratings up and they'll remedy it when they bring back those members. It's like Louis with the X Factor, he was never REALLY sacked it was just a ploy to get more viewers.

OMG! I hope so!
