Sugababes to make temporary split?

The Sugababes are to temporarily split so that Keisha Buchanan can fulfil her dream of studying at university, reports say.

The founding member said that being in the girl group since the age of 12 had meant she was never able to carry out further studies.

"It's my dream to study at university. I've been in Sugababes since I was 12, so I would love the opportunity," she is quoted as saying. "We would do our individual projects and come back together stronger than before."

Buchanan recently claimed the group are more successful than their rivals, Girls Aloud. "I get asked a lot, 'aren't they a bigger band than you?' Well, no. They're not," she said.

If they take a long break they'll never have another big hit, and I'd imagine that Girls Aloud are a bigger group than them.

One way of proving that is that they've carried on getting hit singles, when the band has had 2 people leave the group. They will always be my favourite UK girl band.

If they split for a while, when they come back it will be HUGE.

I'm guessing, they'll be split for 2 years or so. Then come back with an amazing album.

don't know weather this is actaully true but it won't be for a while because they have a upcoming albulm and will need to do all the concerts and stuff. I think they are better than Girls Aloud . They've had more hits and have coped with two people leaving and then two new people joining. They've had more no.1's and i think, are better singers.

i prefer GA but Keisha's right.they are bigger then GA.GA have had like zero successs outside the UK & Ireland but the babes have had loads.
