Zac Efron to be the next Johnny Depp!
We were excited enough when we heard Johnny Depp was going to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow for the fourth time – and now we're even more excited, because our HSM crush Zac Efron is taking part too. Hollywood's latest addition to the heartthrob club has reportedly signed a £6million deal with Disney to appear in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4, alongside Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley. The figure is nearly double what Zac scooped for High School Musical 3, and illustrates just how powerful a star he is becoming. It is thought that Disney want Zac to eventually take over trom Johnny Depp as the main lead in the movies. As part of the deal, Zac will also reprise his role as Troy Bolton in High School Musical 4 – a move that he previously said he was unsure of. Still, we think that a lot of his female fans will be jumping for joy this morning at the thought of all this extra Zac-time.

I hope they don't do another HSM, even though HSM3 has been succesfull with pre-bookings and previews I don't think another one should be made. I think that HSM4 would still be successful, if not more, but I think it wouldn't be as good, Disney will have taken it to far. There trying to squeeze every bit of success they can out of HSM, Hannah Montana etc. that one day it might not be as prominent.

I can't stand him! he is so sickly and annoying! and HSM is the most annoying, cheese on toat film ever! and Zac will never be another Johnny Depp, as there is only one Johnny Depp, who is one of the most gorgeous man in Hollywood :bigsmile:

I hope it's true, I'll check Zefron in a bit.
They tend to be able to confirm it.

Zac's not gonna be in HSM4.
They're gonna make it but he's not going back.
Maybe as a cameo but he won't be a main character.
He wants to move on from Disney :]

Hence why I don't 100% believe this.
If he wanted to move on from Disney, then he wouldn't sign on to do another disney film.

Zefron have classed this under 'Latest News and Rumours' as opposed to 'Latest Official News'.
Most of the fans are against it, but I suppose it's false.
