My mums been pushed up the queue to receive a new treatment for her disease, AND she might be getting an important operation next year.

I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but it might mean she can walk again (even if it's just a little bit).

I'm praying it all goes okay, but I feel confident.

:hello:

Ankylosing spondylitis. She has a number of other things too which make it somewhat worse, too.

Yeah, spine fuses together.

She also has rheumatoid arthritis in her legs too.

We always make the joke that she's falling apart

In my lifetime she's never been able to walk properly, but when I was younger she could manage (through pain) to walk me to school and back. Since then it's just got gradually worse til she's wheelchair bound.
