Hi.
I'm thinking of buying an iMac. I had first decided on buying a Mac Mini but then when adding up all the price I thought I might aswell get an iMac. I want the 20 inch one and it says the cheapest one [I want the cheapest] is £799. Now, it seems there are loads of hidden costs. I want to buy the wired keyboard and wired mighty mouse but what software do I need to buy and how much extra will this add to the total price. I definetly need Microsoft Office.
Also is there a way of transferring documents from a Windows machine to a Mac?
It all seems so confusing.

Thanks in advance :spin2:

The wired keyboard and mouse are included with iMac in the box....

What’s in the box

iMac
Apple Keyboard
Mighty Mouse
Apple Remote
Cleaning cloth
Power cord
Install/restore DVDs
Printed and electronic documentation

You don't really need any software as it comes with iLife 08, depends what software you need, you can get office free using torrents. (I got links.)

Well the only thing I can suggest with transferring stuff is using a USB memory stick, slow I know but Windows & Macs hate each other when it comes to file sharing, you can transfer stuff but its worth looking up on the net how. Or a external Hardrive.

Yep wireless.

Its got...

Built-in AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless networking2 (based on IEEE 802.11n draft (specification); IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible
Built-in Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)
Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)

So basically its wireless like a laptop, and you won't need a cable.
