''Futurama, the quick-witted animation from the mastermind behind The Simpsons, makes a much anticipated television return on Sunday 26th October at 6pm only on Sky1.

Set in the 31st century, Matt Groening’s Futurama is sci-fi comedy at its very best. Billy West voices Fry, the 20th century pizza delivery boy who awoke in the year 3000. Katey Sagal voices Leela, the sexy cyclops who captains the Planet Express ship and is the object of Fry’s affections; and John DiMaggio voices Bender, the alcohol-fueled robot. As the Planet Express crew explore New New York City and the universe beyond, the latest Futurama series promises to be as spectacularly silly as ever.

Get ready for more out-of-this-world humour with eight brand new episodes. In Bender’s Big Score alien telemarketers plan to steal Earth's most valuable historical objects, via a time-travel code tattooed on Fry's backside. Mayhem and madness ensue as Fry time travels back to the 20th century, Bender is taken over by evil aliens and romantic confusion arises between Fry and Leela. Will the galaxy’s most unlikely couple finally get together?

The galactical laughs continue with The Beast With A Billion Backs. In Futurama’s most tentacle-packed outing space itself rips open, revealing a gateway to another universe. But what lies beyond? Horror? Love? Or maybe both, if it happens to contain a repulsive, planet-sized monster with romantic intentions! Nothing less than the fate of human and robot-kind is at stake as the Futurama crew takes on The Beast With A Billion Backs.

The latest Futurama adventures feature guest appearances from a whole host of celebrities including Brittany Murphy (8 Mile), former vice president Al Gore, rapper Coolio, Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons) and Stephen Hawking.

A huge hit with fans and critics alike, Futurama is light years ahead of its rivals, scaling the heady heights of The Simpsons with its sharp-tongued wit and on-the-nose observations.

Don’t miss Futurama, Sunday 26th October at 6pm only on Sky1.''

I loved Futurama when I was younger... cant wait to watch this on the internet. As Sky are evil and removed all their channels from Virgin Media.

Just watched Bender's Big Score, was pretty damn amazing for a straight to DVD film, 10x better than The Simpsons Movie

...and looking at this thread...Jesus, people on hear used to be so fricking negative

EDIT: Just realised the title of this thread is very apt, season 6 arrives on Sky One on Friday

The movies were alright but I'd rather we were given actual new episodes instead, now they just randomly play different parts of all the different films which make no sense as individual episodes. Mind you the movies often don't make a whole lot of sense anyway

Everything since the original final episode has been average to terrible.

Ah, I already watched the first half online since I didn't think Sky was picking it up. I wasn't a fan of Bender's Big Score, I liked the other three films though.

I liked all the references, though I didn't like what it did to the time line, but I enjoyed it overall.

Into the Green Yonder is pretty good as was Bender's Game, not seen Beast of a Billion Backs yet though lol. I found it really weird that Seth MacFarlane sung the theme for the Green Yonder one lol
