Would you vote, Republican or Democrat? I would personally go for Democrat even though I normally hold centre-right views, I think America needs a change.

I'm sure a lot of Americans don't follow politics either but they would still vote on the hype of the campaigns without really understanding the politics behind the two ideaologies.

My vote would go Republican/ McCain
I have tried to like Obama and see something in him to support but there is nothing which makes me think I want this man president

They say that a Republican in the White house is better for America while a Democrat in the white house is better for the rest of the world; so I'd vote Democrat.

Isn't that a bit silly? Why would you vote for someone and not know what they have planned for the country? The only excuse I could give to vote is this;

Vote for McCain - Obama is highly publicised/big celebrity
Vote for Obama - Sarah Palin is heavily criticised and seen as a joke

I would be voting on how the media portrays them, and not what they have ready for my country.

Earlier in the week I kinda started to warm to Obama and at one point I wanted him maybe win
but now I have seen sense and am supporting McCain, he is the right man for the job.

None.
Both are stupid cows anyway. No matter who is the winner, it's still not going to change and none of them will be able to fix the economic crisis.

I hate to say that but thanks the European union for keeping our heads above the water and this election will not change anything.

Not financially for a while but at least Obama is going to make fat cats take more of the strain! And The impact on the image of the US is going to be massive! The terrorist extemists for one are going to be praying for a Mcain win as theyre going to have less sympathy for the cause if Obama gets in!

Maybe or maybe not.
All I'm saying about this election is that, Obama may not be elected because don't forget that the deep rooted racists in America will NEVER vote for a black man and even some democrats said they will never vote for a black man. And that can change everything big time.
Like Segolene Royal in France who had such a big publicity stunt because she was the first women to get into the final round, she didn't win at the end of the day...and that can happen to Obama too. It's not because Madonna and cie claim they are going to vote for him that will make him President.

Mc Cain has still big chances to win and he can because the Americans are obviously not ready to have a black President.
If Obama looses, I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't even know what both are going to do once elected and I really don't care.

Obama doesn't have it in the bag. People can say whatever they want in polls, what they vote can be crazily different.
It will be close, very close.
Anyway, I don't want any of them to win, both are absolutely idiots: one who has NO experience and thinks there are 57 states in the USA and the other one who can die at anytime and wants to put war everywhere.

Agreed, in most of the elections the actual results change quite a lot to what is predicted
It is going to be close and one is just going to edge it.

I dont think Obama is an idiot. Hes very well educated seems very sensible and measured Throughout his campaign he hasnt made decisions willy nilly theyre well thought through and he sticks to them. Mcain with all his experience has been scatty and indesicive. I hope your wrong ,and The US prove that the racists are a minority and they are a diverse forward thinking nation.

A minority ? If you add all racists + disappointed democrats who don't want a black man to win + republicans, McCain can take it way easier than people thought.
A majority of Americans are racists and that's a fact. I didn't say all of them but a large part is.

I just hope someone comes and says none of them can win because seriously, it's going to get worse.

I can't see how Obama's plans are going to save us from the economic crisis: it's all going to be every country on its own.
If Obama wins, his power will be more than limited: he won't control anything as much as Bush didn't.
And Mc Cain is not better than him, his plans are quite scary as much as Obama's.

I'm glad I'm not supporting any of them.

Oh come on, have you ever heard of Rednecks, the KKK, the WASP, the Los Angeles riots and all stories about how black people are treated by the Justice ? Those are evidences.

We all know that, everyone in the World know that, it's not quite a surprise.

The economic crisis is going to need all countries to work together its not a one man job and Obama is more qualified than Mcain or Palin he has a more than one brain cell!

Well, so far, only the EU helped the world to get out of the crisis and it's something the American officials can't accept.
I didn't say it was a one man job but as the President of the 1st country, he should be able to do more than any others.
I didn't say McCain would be better than him, both don't have any skills on how to deal with such crisis.

They're far from being a minority and that's how McCain can take it all.
Polls aren't accurate, people can say they like Obama because it's a phenomeon but they can vote way differently.
