Eoghan's performance was good, but not nearly good enough to stand up for it. It had personality, it was fun, but when you compare it to great Big Band performances on TXF like 'The X Factor' like Leona's 'Summertime', it just isn't amazing.

Yeah, I see your point. I think it was just because the judges were (rightly or wrongly) taking his age into account, and the fact that he was really confident during the performance - something that takes a lot of guts. And it's something he's probably not fully comfortable with and hasn't done before. Considering that, it was a really good performance - but no, not world class. Not that they said it was. He still has lots of time to improve.

The judges are way off tonight.
Eoghan, Alex and Laura were all average at best.

I think it was mostly because he did something that they thought he'd fail completely at, and did it quite well. I agree, it wasn't fantastic, but it was way better than I expected he would do.

I thought the judges were talking nonsense to be honest.Through nearly the whole song Eoghan was out of tune and it was only the end that sounded okay.

He was rubbish, I don't know why people think he's so good, he's just an average singer who finally showed some charisma and personality tonight. Big wow!

Yeah, but that's why people are raving about him tonight. Now there's an expectation of him that he'll have to meet every week, and I don't think he will.
