The only people that came across as not lip-synching were Diana & Rachel, but they all were I guess.

THEY WERE TOTALLY LIP-SYNCHING! I knew from the first note Eoghan sang , also their voice's were totally modified in the studio!

Its actually really annoyed me!
Why the hell would you mime in a singing competition?! It started off amazing, heart breaking. Now I am just plain annoyed they could have had the respect to actually sing it the soldiers in the studio that have fought their lives for them, would it really take that much?

Completely pissed off.

not only did it make them look a joke cos its a singing contest but it made a mockery of all those servicemen and women who the proceeds are for by not singing it live gives off a cant be arsed vibe :bored:

Wildcat!

Its because they are trying to sell the single, so they want it to sound like in studio!

Their also having to focus on singing their own songs tonight and trying to learn 2 songs in a week. give the people a break.

Oh dont give me that... they are gonna have to learn 2/3 songs in up coming weeks! Its pathetic, plus they have had 3 weeks to rehearse that!

If you cant do it live, then don't perform!

Well people can hear the record plenty, would be nice to hear a live performance of it.

Who cares, they have a lot to do for one,
people will buy the song more if its studio done
and its not for the comp its for charity

I find it really rude. Mind you, the contests might not have known and playback was used. But, I knew from the moment Eoghan started singing.

so they are gonna be miming on the tour then as well? its the final 12 and if they cant sing live what hope is there for them

but the thing is..its like over 20 people singin...and it doesnt need to sound all dodgy......

and its not for them to show off its for charity

Xander

I can understand why there were lip synching probably because there wanted it sound as good as possible in order to sell it, they don't want them singing live sounded out of tune, as it won't sell the record.
But they should still have the decency to sing live seeing it is for charitable cause and I think tonight there were more than able to sing live, even if they did have other songs to sing, otherwise why are they on the show, seeing as it is about talent and singing live each week.

but it cant have been a rush decision tonight its obviously something that has been planned for a while which also means plenty of practise time
yes its for charity and they by not singing live (and doing a terrible job at miming) made it into a joke and hardly respectful to all those service people who the cause is for sitting in the audience must have been incredibly cringy for them

There is NOO excuse for miming, if they are not ready to perform then they don't perform. Its not that difficult singing with 20 people, people are making it out to be something difficult its really not. I do it every day and its so easy.

were they.. because it sounded like they were singing it live... but like they all sounded too good to be singing live

I thought they were lip synching! That's quite awful really, i can see the press having a field day with it.

It's just disrespectful though.

tbh..they have a real cheek saying that because if a pro-singer did that live they would be slated in the press.

Quite obvious with Alexandra miming Ruth's part and Austin miming Daniel's part as though noone would notice! :joker:

Oh and a few of the voices have been digitally enhanced, I knew it was lip synced as soon as Eoghan opened his trap

^^tom, same here.

also, austin was "singing" the notes and words waaaayy after his part had stopped.
