After a wet and windy weekend for most, the working week looks set to be gripped by a very unseasonable cold snap according to forecasters at Kwik Weather for Scotland.

Predictions for sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall seems like something you expected to hear in January not October!, but that is the forecast for the next week, the cold will be caused by a Northerly Wind bringing very cold air in directly from the Artic, this in turn meaning some very cold days and nights for all.

Kwik Weather for Scotland Senior Forecaster adds: "Next week will bring some weather that is very rare for October, in fact the last time we saw weather like this in October was in the 90's!, cold northerly winds will result in temperatures struggling to reach 5c during the daytime hours, with temperatures falling as low as -8c in the far North next week, through late Monday and into Tuesday there looks to be the development of some Wintry Weather, snow could be seen anywhere from Northern Scotland and as far south as Northern London."

More on this developing story tomorrow, meanwhile to get more info visit Kwik Weather for Scotland (http://www.kwfs.info)
