SEXY judge Cheryl Cole will get a whopping 500% pay rise and her own private jet to sign up for a second series of the X Factor.

Bosses are offering to boost her salary to £1.5million next year.

But because she will be touring in the US with her band Girls Aloud, they are also offering her the “Mile High” bonus of a £5,000-an-hour private Gulfstream jet to fly backwards and forwards across the Atlantic.

That works out at up to £100,000 per round trip, with the total cost hitting £1million.

Hard-working Cheryl, 25, is believed to have been paid around £300,000 for her first series on the hit ITV1 show.

She took over from Sharon Osbourne, 56, who quit after her request for a £2.5million pay packet was refused.

Show boss Simon Cowell, 49, is now desperate to keep hugely-popular Cheryl on board for a second series. And the music mogul is happy to pay whatever it takes to keep Cheryl on the panel after she helped boost ratings by more than a million viewers.

An X Factor source said: “Cheryl’s proved to be the perfect X Factor judge. She is being offered at least £1.5million for a second series.

“And if she mentors this year’s winner she could probably raise it even higher. Who would bet against her doing that at the moment?

“With Girls Aloud about to launch an assault on America she wants to be with the band as much as possible.

“The jet is going to be provided by the TV company so she can make it to the summer auditions and the start of the show while still performing with Girls Aloud. She loves the idea of having her own jet and will be bringing hubby Ashley along. So who knows, they may join the Mile High Club for real!”

Gorgeous Cheryl has proved an instant hit with ITV viewers thanks to her stunning looks and warm personality.

When she took the X Factor job there were questions about her judging qualifications.

But Cheryl has silenced her critics and has also helped make this year’s show the most successful ever.

The source said: “The ratings have gone through the roof and it doesn’t take a genius to work out why. Cheryl has been a revelation on the show. She’s beautiful, kind, witty, natural and isn’t afraid to speak up to Simon.

“But the main reason she is so popular is because viewers can tell she has her contestants’ best interests at heart.

“Some of the other judges seem more concerned with scoring cheap points.”

One person who will not be thrilled by Cheryl’s huge pay rise will be rival judge Dannii Minogue, 37.

The Aussie pop star is being paid £750,000 this year – double Cheryl’s fee.

But that could all change if they are both back next year. The source added: “Everyone knows this has been Cheryl’s year.

“It’s only fair she gets rewarded but you can bet Dannii will want an increase as well.

“She won’t want Cheryl earning more than her, especially as she has been here a year longer.”

Cheryl’s increase would put her almost on a par with Irish judge Louis Walsh, 56.

But show creator Cowell’s pay dwarfs the rest. He earns an estimated £6.5million each series.

FOR WHAT?
She doesn't deserve £1.5 Million at all!?

All she does is sits on a chair and says if a song was good or bad?!?! I could do that!! :puzzled:

She really doesn't deserve that much money for what she does, I think Simon just wants her on as it boosts the ratings. :(

I'm jealous. Seriously, that's silly money. I guess she won't be worrying about the credit crunch, eh? Haha!

ITV do the hiring and firing, not Simon.

The amount of money being offered is silly. She is getting £300,000 for this series.. thats soooo much.

It's hard to grasp how much money the judges are worth.

Oh yes I now see how much of a straining job it must have... i have so much sympathy for her now! Pfft, please!

Nurses and Doctors, work about 20 times the hours they do and their job is far more important yet they earn about 20 times less. £1.5 mill is ridiculous for such an easy job! The worst part about the job is the auditions, and the producers do most of the work!

I hate that celebrities get such crazy money for doing nothing. There are firefighters, police officers, doctors etc all out there actually helping society and people every day. And people are getting paid millions because they look pretty and invite people to watch a TV show.

Its mental.

Same! Wish I was a bad student in high school, and just drop out, and went into showbiz!
