Dead Set Episode 1 Discussion

The first episode of Dead Set airs tonight at 10pm on E4.

The official synopsis:

It’s a typical Friday night eviction on Big Brother. Except it’s not a typical evening; there are reports of disturbances and riots all over the country. BB Producer Patrick has just heard that the live show may be bumped for breaking news on the riots.

Runner Kelly meanwhile, alongside her usual frantic eviction night tasks, is also juggling having to avoid calls from her long-term boyfriend Riq, who keeps ringing to find out exactly why she didn’t come home last night.

As tearful Scot Pippa is evicted from the house and interviewed by Davina, all hell is breaking loose outside. There’s a complete massacre of the BB audience as zombies start to attack.

Can Patrick and Kelly get to safety? And just what has happened to Davina?

It takes something really scary to scare me. Zombies really don't scare me at all. I enjoy watching them anyways, but not because they scare me. Its the same with any movie, even the Exorcist didn't scare me when i first watched it...god knows why, and it spoils the movie for me :sad:

Today i watched the film 'Halloween' and didn't flinch once. Dead set should be a breeze! Bring it on it looks fantastic i'm thinking it will get just over a million viewers for E4! Good Luck!

It's not a comedy. It has some dark humour, but that's it.

I liked it lol, I found it really interesting, just for all the behind the scenes stuff.

On DS, everyone seems to be loving it, Im glad its made a great first impression. Loved the part of dead Davina's head falling onto the water machine and making that noise haha

Btw I LOVE IT! Thought it would be c**p, but it's awesome, I could hear my heart beat (literally).

I'll start with the high points of the show.

High Points: Number 1, the story really fits well and i love the fact that it's so real. Like the C4 "Please Stand by" thing, and the man from C4 news. I also liked the look at what the producers and what goes on in the studio.

Now the bad points: THe acting was awful. I hated them all. Apart from Kelly and maybe the producer. The housemates were the worst. I hated everything about them. If anything they seemed like wannabe's of original housemates. Grayson being Kemal, Angel being Alison Hammond etc. Other than that, it was fine.

Can i ask...what happened to Aisleyne (Who's acting wasn't that bad) and the other other housemates?

I thought it was funny when the Zombies attacked the producers in the studio and Davina went "Hello? Excuse me? What's going on up there".

I thought it was fantastic, I loved the little funny bits in it, the producer was hilarious (although REALLY EVIL!). It was actually very tense at times and I thought the whole eviction night part was very well done. I loved the use of the Mika music, it gave the scene a harrowing contrast. I thought Jamie Winstone (Kelly) was fantastic in it. The acting generally was quite good. Davina played her whole fantastically, she made a brilliant zombie! Poor Eugene and Ziggy though! :joker:

I can't wait for tomorow's episode! I think it's looking bleak for Angel!
