This is so weird after watching MH tonight, I keep seeing a light flashing at my window every 5 minutes, I can feel a ghostly presence in my house.

It was okay, just the same ,whistles, a audience member fainted on screen.

The whistles were actually real, they were in the wings of the audience, which I was. I reported the whistles before the team actually heard them, they came from the ladies toilets which was behind the wings. During a break a friend of mine went inside to check no crew was in there whistling and it was empty, no way out. As for the audience member fainting... who knows, she was probably cold and scared from the cameras being in her face. She did seem to be actually choking, even when cameras stopped rolling - a paramedic had to carry her down the stairs which I'm sure ruined her dignity, and the cameras werent even rolling at that stage so I can't imagine it was a 5 min of fame lol.

Really great! Paul Ross does stand up before the show for about 20 mins, and the smaller members of the crew tell jokes etc (like Phil Whyman, Ciaran O'Keefe). During the show when the camera isn't on him Paul Ross does funny dances etc but we can't laugh cos it'd seem weird for the cameras lol.

The show last night was different to usual because the audience were actually where the investigation was. I thought I had crap tickets (I had standby tickets so they put me where no one else wanted to go) - which was the right hand side of the stage wings... which is where the crew all went after determining it was the most haunted section! You know the bit where the woman said she smelled burning, then someone said "yeah me too!" ... that was me LOL. And the woman who said a man was stood in front of her? I was behind her. Was so amazing.

After the investigation the crew all stay on stage and we can all go up and meet them... photos/autographs etc. ONe of my favourites is Phil Whyman so I went up to him cos everyone else was stood around Yvette and Karl... and we had a huge long conversation haha. He told me I had to mug someone elses tickets for another night so he could see me again. (Little does he know I just ordered MORE tickets...Wednesdays show here I come!).

I dont mean to bash here, I am just genuinly interested but ... why do you people follow this crap? I am not totally denying the existence of life after death but jesus christ, even ofcom ruled it was just an entertainment show with zero paranormal investigatory credibility.

The problem is, people like Acorah are presenting it as real, and are playing DIRECTLY into the hopes, fears and emotions of fragile people who have recently lost a loved one for the benefit of his own ego. And dont give me any of this ''it gives them hope'' rubbish. False hope is not hope.

You might as well watch Jeremy Kyle. At least the problems on that are real to a certain extent.

Acorah isn't on there? He hasn't been for a fair while. He was hated by the fans and team alike.

Also, last night was an infamously haunted location. Even if they faked things, it was still haunted. If things were going to happen, they'd happen. Secondly, you're wondering why someone would watch an 'entertainment' show? ... it's entertaining, I'd imagine.

No, I was wondering why someone would watch it with an intent to it being real. I stated it was an entertainment show.

Still, the sarcasm was refreshing. Let me know when they finally land that interview with Sparky The Ghost.

Why do you assume people watch it with an intent to it being real? People may actually watch it for entertainment, which was my point. Some people do think it's real, yes, but so what? They enjoy watching it regardless.

Btw; it wasn't sarcasm, you just assumed it was because you misunderstood my point.

Haha I know, I just wanted to state about the whistles cos I'm not sure how they came across on camera

Lauren do you believe yourself then? :D

Lauren
25-10-2009, 07:51 PM
I believe in things, but with MH I think a lot is EXAGGERATED sometimes. Like last night with those lights in the room, it was obviously car lights but they kept trying to make something of it lol. I don't trust Stuart Torrevel MUCH in terms of the show either, I think he loves the show so much he tries to keep it active and exciting. That being said, he is REALLY nice off-camera.

What about you?

Callum
25-10-2009, 07:53 PM
I kind of believe it. It always makes me intrigued and I want to watch it more. Some of it I'm a bit unsure on and think "surely that's not real" but I think you enjoy it slightly more if you believe some of it, if you understand what I'm saying lol.

I watched the show last night over again and the woman fainting looked very very very fake!! From my angle it looked real, and she kept going even when it went to break. But watching the actual footage... nah I'm unsure about her, she probably wanted a TV spot for that night -to be shown as something 'big' happening.

Rest of it (whistles, footsteps, bangs) were definitely real to an extent -it happened in the office/bar room behind me when no one was in.

I say bravo to Mary. When I die, I'm going to haunt paranormal groups and send rude messages via the medium.
