Exclusive: X Factor reject Scott Bruton wants lawyers to get him out of show contractX Factor reject Scott Bruton has instructed a solicitor to get him out of his contract.
The former Pontin’s Bluecoat, 19, was kicked off the ITV series on Saturday.
Despite this, Scott is convinced that if he can be free from the show’s commitments, he can become a chart-topping star.
All of the finalists sign deals tying them in to a tour and stopping them releasing material before the winner.
Scott told friends: “I’m stuck in my contract with X Factor until February. I’m getting a solicitor to look and see if they can get me out of it. I know I still have what it takes to become a star and I don’t see why I should have to wait.”
But the contract he wants to tear up includes going on a UK tour, where the finalists perform live in front of thousands and earn big money.
A show source said: “Being on the tour is his best chance of making a name for himself.
“He was never going to win the X Factor and he needs a reality check.”

How sore a loser is Scott? If he was meant to make/win it then he would not have been in the bottom 2, or gone.
He needs to get over himself, every other person before on X factor has agreed and stuck by their contract when they have been kicked off. What makes him so special....
...NOTHING! he was rubbish!
I really dislike this bitter loser.
Yeah, once again I agree with the above..............he may have been a bit unlucky not to stay ahead of daniel, but let's face it, he could and maybe should have gone in WEEK ONE!!
What a deluded fool, going on the tour would be the best thing for him. He's going to end up back at Pontins at this rate.
Wildcat!

LOL! As if Scott!

He isn't deluded, or a sore loser, he is determined. If anything it shows how much he wants to sing, not just the fame etc cos XF is a guarantee of the fame for a bit, and if he is willing to throw all that away (the tour) to make it on his own then I say good on him!
If he wants out of the contract then remove all traces of him from the show including re-recording the winners single.
Its just showing what a sore loser he is, he'd be nothing without X Factor and he isn't going to make it because people don't like him.

I think he is deluded if he thinks he can go out and be a star just by trying to break away from the X-Factor.He came in 10th place on the show and there's obviously not much support behind him or he would still be there now.
I don't see what difference it's going to make by him going his own way.The tour would have given him the chance to play to many more people than he'll get at his own gigs.

er, yes he is.
If it he didn't like the contract, then he should not have signed it.
What makes him different from every other rejected x factor contestant? Other than the fact he is bitter?

The fact that he's more determined? He signed it because he didn't know he was going to get screwed over by the show. He doesn't sound bitter at all in the article and if I was him I wouldn't be happy either about it. He got a **** song for the first week and was always one of the first people on, he didn't have a chance.
No wonder he has no faith in the show, but he doesn't sound bitter, just determined imo.

He's no more determined than any other X Factor loser. And that is what he is ...a loser. He wasnt the best or worse but there was absolutely no way he was going to win in such a strong year.
As for being screwed over by the show? How exactly was he screwed over? He's now in the papers making headlines. The show has made him into much more than he would ever have become. He needs to accept the decision and get on with his life.
Also, I think he does want the fame. If he was happy to simply sing for a living then he wouldnt be trying to get out of the tour. He wants to be a star unfortunately he does not have the talent or star quality.

That doesn't mean he's going to get a record deal and be good though. He is just as good as last years winner, and Leon is struggling like hell in the charts. Scott has no hope.

its not like hes gabbing for a record deal straight away...hes only going for it at the very start....
leon was the most unexpected winner ever...but because he started in the low hes journey got him through...
jusy becuase there are better singers in the world doesnt mean youl never make it....
or your just one of those who feels the need to bring down people's hope....
in the case of x-factor yes the best singer should take the success....
but once its over the other contestants can still continue with what they want.....
and scott has every right to go for what he wants.

Even the best of the contestants never make it properly because they didn't have the support. Look at Maria Lawson. Scott does have every right to do what he wants, it doesn't mean he'll get what he wants though.

but who can say that!
the maria girl i didnt think was great!
I can understand not wanting to wait to release stuff - from last year's show, Leon's only released two singles, and none of the other acts have released any stuff (those that have been signed by record labels) over a year later. That shows you the kind of length of time it takes for X Factor losers to produce stuff, and a year later, the attention is no longer on them.

Niki has released, she reached the dizzy heights of 105 :joker:

I'm just showing how 'well' how non-winners do. The only act that hasn't won the show but has managed to make something of themselves are G4. Chico managed to become a one hit wonder. Andy has had a good career but he's not exactly setting the charts alight. Thats it. Its rare to get someone who can last out of this type of show, even the winners. So by finishing 10th, you've really got no chance.

Ah, didn't know that! (Forgot to say in my post - I still think Scott is acting like a child, I just thought I'd pick up on that point.)
Still, as you said in a later post, it's so rare for a losing act to actually make something of themselves. The only example I can think of (and not from the X Factor) is Liberty X. That's it.

He's being a bit of a fool I think. He isn't really anything different or special, at least doing the tour would get him quite a bit of money. Then he can try to get a recording contract.

Aww bless him, he still thinks he has a chance.
Wake up Scott your out of the running hold onto your last few minutes of fame and go on the tour.
