Kay's plan to rile X Factor

Peter Kay will make Simon Cowell even angrier by pitting spoof reality show winner Geraldine McQueen against the X Factor winner for the Christmas No 1.

Neil Fox, who appeared on the Channel 4 spoof with Kay, said: "Wouldn't it be funny if Geraldine's next song beats X Factor to the Christmas number one?

"There will also be a festive TV special with Geraldine going back to Northern Ireland after her victory."

He's killing Geraldine now. Pop Factor might have been better nearer to Christmas with The Winners Song out for then, or even the Christmas one.
