Meh I wouldn't get your hopes up, rumours of a fourth film have been cropping up for years but they've never managed to settle on it.

If I'm honest I don't think I'd want a 4th film, the third one wasn't brilliant..

It categorized as in Production. Theres been talk about it for years now. Weinstein have approached Wes Craven who more or less said in an interview that the film is going ahead, but only on his terms. Kevin Williamson is writing the script.

I highly doubt it will be a remake as it would probably just be called 'Scream'.
I like the sound of starting it again.

I think a remake would actually be good, it has been a few years since the first one, although it could be really crap.
I still think a 4th one would be good, either way I hope it happens!

I love the Scream franchise. And it's never been officially "confirmed" before. Although, it's a bit strange...that link saying it's set 10 years after Scream 3...cause the producer was on an interview with Digital Spy a while back and he said that it would "have nothing to do with the previous films".

It is nothing to do with the other films. Thats just the time scale. They are introducing a whole new cast for it
