View Full Version : BBCode to disable BBCode?

I know that when you post a thread, add a reply, etc, there's an option to turn BBCode off in that post, but I was wondering if it would be possible to have a BBCode tag within which all other BBCodes are disabled?

For instance: http://www.url.to/image.jpg - The code inside the disable tags would show up as code and not an image.

This would be handy for posts in which BBCode is both required and not required in parts, for example, when a graphics maker posts a completed banner in their request thread, but would then like to give the BBCode to use it below.

Or, does such a thing already exist?

It's only a minor suggestion, just thought I'd ask :laugh:

That's a good idea.
On Invisionfree, they have tags, which does the same job, so a graphics maker would post;;
[CODE]lalalala

I think it's a good idea though.

Lol - you know when you post bla se bla and then the stuff inside the 'img' things turns into a picture of whatever is on the link that you post in the middle?

Well, we would like a a code that disables the stuff inside the img codes turning into an image, so we can post a code for someone to use :bouncy: x

Yep :thumbs:

For example:

I want to show the userbar, but I'd also like to include the code below it without having to add asterisks :laugh:

I did say I knew that there was already an option to completely turn it off in the first post.

I'm looking for this so that one could both use BB Code and not use BB Code in a post. :thumbs:
