Laura ready for key piano performanceLAURA White is set to wow TV audiences tonight when the singer plays the piano for the first time on the X Factor.
Her dad, Adrian, also revealed that the 21-year-old has shrugged off criticism from Simon Cowell over her image.
On last week’s live show on ITV1, Cowell told Laura: “I don’t think you have connected the way you look with the way you perform.
“You need to spend more time working on your image because you have to be the perfect package.”
But speaking to The Bolton News, Adrian said: “Personally, I think it was a bit unwarranted, but Laura has just taken it on board as constructive criticism.
“It did upset her for a bit but she’s fine now.
“I don’t know whether it will make any difference to her image.”
Yesterday, Laura met global superstar Mariah Carey for a masterclass ahead of tonight’s performance. The Atherton girl will sing Endless Love, which Carey originally sang as a duet with Luther Vandross.
Laura has already recorded a hit single, alongside her fellow X Factor contestants.
Their song, Hero, was released last week and stormed to number one in the singles’ charts.
Mariah Carey will be performing the hit with the X Factor finalists.
