Lindsay Lohan has sparked controversy after referring to Barack Obama as America's first "coloured" President.
The actress used the outdated term when asked how she felt about Obama's victory over Republican rival John McCain at last week's polls.
"It was really exciting. It's an amazing feeling. It's our first, you know, coloured President," she told Access Hollywood.
Obama allegedly rebuffed Lohan's offer to help his campaign in September, with a spokesperson saying: "[She] is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us."
