Stop voting for X Factor's Daniel EvansI don't know a single person who's a fan of Daniel Evans. I don't even know anyone who knows anyone who's a fan of Daniel Evans.

And yet, he's still in The X Factor. How is this even possible? Come on, own up - who the heck out there is voting for him? Daniel's clearly a nice man, and one who's had something truly tragic happen to him.

It's impossible not to feel for him.

Some may suggest that he should be at home with his motherless kids, but I fully support his right to move miles away, into a house in London with a bunch of teenagers, to pursue a self-indulgent dream instead. Sort of.

But the simple fact is this: by voting for Daniel, you're saying you approve of him desperately exploiting his misery, week after week.

Daniel's survived this long purely because of blatant emotional blackmail.

He doesn't choose his songs alone so it's not entirely his fault, but he must be aware of the effect the words he's singing beseechingly into the camera will have on the viewing public.

In week one, he sang I Want To Know What Love Is - "In my life, I've had heartache and pain, don't know if I can face that again. Can't stop now, I've travelled so far, to change this lonely life..." He may as well have added "...by winning The X Factor" on to the end.

Next it was time for a bit of disco manipulation (Don't Leave Me This Way) before the song To Where You Are - which he dedicated to his wife. ("I feel you all around me, your memory so clear.

Forever love, watching me from up above.") It's a miracle he restrained himself from doing Can't Live If Living Is Without You in Mariah Carey week. Mind you, the one he did choose, Open Arms, does include the lines, "Living without you, living alone, this empty house seems so cold", so it still fitted his criteria.

TEARS If Daniel wins, we will have just wasted six months of our lives. It will render this series absolutely pointless, for both viewers and participants - not least because the winner will be a very average singer who doesn't have what the name of the show is. Daniel's no Leona - he's not even a Leon.

Let's all get a grip. It's fine to feel sad and empathetic about what Daniel's been through.

It's fine to like him and wish him all the best for the future.

What's NOT fine is voting for him any more. Because if this goes any further, it won't just be heaven there'll be tears in.

Not a single comment on his voice. Bit ironic don't you think?

I agree. Tis time Daniel went. Of course he can sing, but there are otehrs there that are miles better, and others there that have gone that are miles better. This is about singing, nice guy or not.

I have to agree with it, but they do make him sound like a really bad singer, when he's above average really.

Well Daniel is a better singer then Eoghan, I find it strange we have things like this on Dan, but not Eoghan, who is even worse, IMO. Dan sings in tune, Eoghan doesn't.

Good article. That level of cynicism could even put me to shame.

It's not really Daniel's fault he was chosen it was a bad decision on Danni's part and really it was because she knew she had to pick a male vocalist in her category.

I don't love his performances but the show is for the people who watch and vote - as much as they like for who they like and if he stays in then that's what the public want ! simple as that

but I think he is a goner if he finally gets in the bottom again but that's just an opinion none of this vicious tabloid nonsense

yerh...they shouldnt be putting it on him that people vote for him.....
cuz if people wanted other contestant to be tehre rather than him, then they should have voted

Well ill be voting for him this week, as i much prefer hearing him than jls eoghan ruth and especially rachel. I like how he sings.

and because some daniel hater writes an article on what he thinks people should do doesnt mean anyone should listen as x factor is based purely on opinion.

Who ever wrote that is full of ****!

I agree with the article, he's not nowhere as near as strong as some of the contestants that have left, the only reason he's there because of the way he basically *****s out the memories of his dead wife. It's the family I feel sorry for.

I guess he is going to win now, its a shame that this series has had the most talented singers of all 5 series, and an average singer like Daniel is going to win.
