X Factor issue statement about Laura controversyAs we reported yesterday, the whole row about Laura White getting the boot from The X Factor just won’t die down. And it seems the show are getting a bit cheesed off about all these allegations of dodgy phone lines and what-not – they’ve now issued a definitive statement confirming that she won’t be returning to the show. Here’s what they’ve said:
"There were absolutely no issues with the phone lines or the voting system which is subject to rigorous procedures and protocols. Our viewers vote for the act they want to keep in the competition and last Saturday, Laura White and Ruth Lorenzo received the least number of votes. There are no plans to bring Laura back to The X Factor."
As much as we’re sad to see Laura go, we do hope the fuss dies down so we can concentrate on this week’s show instead – will Diana be well enough to perform a song from the Best of British theme? It’s still looking doubtful…
