Brainy Lynne Moncrieff, 38, from Dundee, was the first to leave BB3. After the show she returned to her studies at Aberdeen University.

I MUST say upon watching them enter the house I thought what an incredibly eclectic bunch, or rather, what an absolute freak show!

Hats off to the producers - they had to come up with characters like these, given that last year's show was full of nice, normal people which unfortunately isn't conducive for good telly.

Big Brother 5 had all the right ingredients and has been the sex, drugs and rock and roll of all five series - hugely conflicting and annoying characters (Ahmed and Marco), an overly- confrontational lesbian who dressed as a sailor (Kitten) blonde bombshells (Vanessa and Shell) and an incredibly good-looking Adonis (Stuart).

There was also a guy who seemed to think he was the lost member of the So Solid Crew (Victor) and a transsexual who should have had something done to her voice while she was at it - like HOW irritating was it?

Nadia was entertaining, however, as were the shenanigans of the jungle cats - more like jungle prats - and bedsit babes Emma and Michelle. I thought the bedsit was a genius idea.

I think Dan would most likely be the person I'd get on best with. He seems funny yet grounded.

I would have liked to back Jason more but although I liked his honesty, his constant preening and swearing put me off somewhat.

I didn't really feel strongly either way about any of them and found it hard to say who would win, although I understand Nadia was the bookies favourite. I'd like to be more vociferous on how I perceive these people. But understanding that this show is very much about manipulating people into the roles they've been given and knowing full well what it feels like to have horribly cruel things written about you by people you've never met, I choose not to.

Big Brother is undoubtedly the most successful reality TV show ever.

The contestants become very famous for a short while but it is worth bearing in mind that most famous people don't have to nip to the corner shop for some gas tokens. They should prepare themselves for being the centre of attention and prepare for when the fame's gone, as that can be just as strange to get used to.
