Brian Belo has claimed that he was shot at during Saturday's Urban Music Awards at London's O2 arena.
The Big Brother 8 winner told the Daily Star that he 'dodged a bullet' during the brawl, which led to the event being abandoned.
A 27-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after allegedly being stabbed at the ceremony. A further two men are also being treated for minor injuries, thought to have been knife-related.
Belo, 21, described the incident as "utter hell", adding: "I was trying to get my friend out, who is on crutches, because everything seemed to kick off and people were throwing chairs and fighting all over the place. It was complete chaos inside there.
"Then I heard a sound right near me like a bullet going off and I could not get out of there quickly enough. I really feel as if I dodged a bullet.
"I could have died in there and I saw someone else get a champagne bottle thrown at their head."
A 21-year-old man arrested following the incident has been bailed, reports PA.
