I like loads of different types of music, but in general I'm completely mad about 80's music (and disco). I'm proud of being a child of the 80's as there were so many great pop groups and singers then: Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Go West, Pet Shop Boys, Bros...the list goes on and I can't stop buying 80's compilation CDs.

So, what's your favourite era of music and why?

In general the 80's.... but I like all things I consider good music from any era.

I've put the 80's, but then I suppose I have to or a certain person would kill me

Still joking apart I do love 80's music, I'm just lucky in knowing some of the people involved in it

I'll let you off RM

It sounded as though you were referring to me and Julia and as we're both female and straight, you've got the wrong end of the stick

When Julia said 'I know who you're talking about' she didn't mean herself, she was just referring to the fact that she knows who it is I know from the 80's music scene.

If I got the wrong end of the stick and you didn't mean that at all then I apologise, blame the hour and the couple of bottles of Stella I had earlier

I will... the nearest I got to a rock star in the 80's was bumping my Trolly into Alison Moyet at savacentre in Basildon.

I was born in the 60's and although I love 60's music it isn't my fav. In the late 70's, early 80's I was a teenager and thats when music started to have a huge effect on me. I loved all the new romantics like human league, duran duran, ultravox etc. So i've picked the 80's.

I don't understand the music today. My eldest plays it in his room for the whole world to hear and all I can hear is 'boom boom boom'. It drives me mad.

A couple of hits from my chosen era

One of my favourites (http://www.stickings90.freeserve.co.uk/audio/4untous.mid)

And the most famous track on the album (http://www.stickings90.freeserve.co.uk/audio/messiah.mid)

They really knew how to rock back then :hello::dance:
