Britney: My new life is worse than jailWEEPING Britney Spears has admitted her new image is a SHAM — and claims she would feel freer if she was in prison.

The troubled pop princess moans that her new controlled lifestyle after hitting rock bottom last year feels “like Groundhog Day”.

Britney, 26, stunned delighted fans by bouncing back from her breakdown. But in a new fly-on-the-wall documentary she tearfully admits: “There’s no excitement, there’s no passion.

“I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out.

“But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.”

Britney, who performs on X Factor next weekend, believes she is still “paying” for her public meltdown when she shaved her head and lost custody of her two sons.

She says: “I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening.

“If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time.

“I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”

Former Mickey Mouse Club child star Britney admits her “weird” life is all she’s known, but didn’t realise how famous she was until her breakdown.

She adds: “I think I’ve learnt my lesson now and enough is enough.”

Not sure "The Sun" hates her but it is trying to sell papers and they feel this what the readers want.

As for the people that have replied to the thread one even thought that it would be good for her to take some time out and find out what she wants from life.

I like Britney's music but she brings a lot of things on herself. She loves the media and although she says she doesn't, why stand in front of the cameras and have her pictures taken? She probably only shaved her head to remind people that she was still around.

Britney is one big publicity stunt. I know i'm going to get ribbed for this post, but the fans don't know Britney. I'm sure if her fans did go and say hello to her then she'd tell them to **** off and leave her alone.

I think the point of the story is she is not happy. If this is really the case then she needs to reevaluate her life and what she wants from it.

I know all her fans want more and more from her, but maybe they need to think if they want there idol around in 10 years time then they had better give her some space.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that she was self harming with those hair clippers. It looked really staged, i'm sure she only did it to get some extra publicity in the papers.

OH cmon you lot! Give the poor girl a break! Its not as easy as it seem to us being Britney Spears! Yeah she is rich and all, but there is a lot more to it! She doesnt even have custody of her kids at the moment. That suks!

Well given all her money may be she should take time out and get them back and sort out her feelings. I know it can't be easy for her, I have read she has bi-polar, but really is it a good idea to be in the public eye so much when you are trying to sort your head out.

Her fans and the press want more, more music, more Britney, more gossip.... but isn't there a time when you have to back off and give the girl some space.

If people really want to give her a break they must understand it's not easy for the girl and get real. She is a human being not some kind of God.

Thats quite harsh.

Although I'm not a big Britney fan I do think she cares about her kids. However in reference to people implying The Sun is making it up, they quoted the doc, whether or not it's a matter of the wrong context is another question, but it's unlikely they totally made it up.

I also have to agree that Britney shows sign that she loves fame and while I'm sure mental disorder contributed to her shaving her head it was definetly partially a publicity stunt on her part, it was just due to her condition at the time that made her get press in that way.

I feel bad for her too, if i am honest. It must suck to have all your decisions done by your dad, at her age. And she cant even see her children without his supervision. I can see why she feels the way she does.

I do think that may if you haven't really had a proper childhood yourself then it harder to understand and deal with your own children just because you don't understand them.

For Britney her childhood ended at 11 when she was pushed onto television to appear in Star Search. A year before she stared in The New Mickey Mouse Club for a couple of years. And even before she appeared on TV it would seem her family were forcing into the world of entertainment.

It makes you wonder if she is recording again now because she wants to or because she is being pushed into it by her family and the record company, rather than being allowed to do her own thing.

Well she won't be able to escape her past.... and that is why had a had a mental breakdown.

The thing is the more I think about this the more I think she is now being controlled by her past..... her father.

We are not picking on her, just discussing her. She has put herself, or rather her parents, have put her in a position where people worship her, that doesn't mean you can't question her life.

Once upon a time I put a drama teacher, whose wife is one of the best theatre directors in the country, on a pedestal. I saw him as almost a God, what ever he said I did regarding acting. Then one day I realised he wasn't a God and it was that day that I learnt how to act. It was that point when I stopped idolising what he had taught me actually made sense.

The moral of the story, don't build people up to what they are not, take them as you see them and learn from them.
