I hate these "themed" shows. It's ok to do a themed show from time to time, but I think it's hugely unfair when they do things like "Britney" or "Mariah Carey". Clearly not everyone will be able to pull off a track by those artists.

That's what I thought too.
Cheryl even admitted she saved JLS because they've been more consistent. Unfair really, when you can't deny Rachel did an outstanding job in the sing off. JLS were just average.

when she started singin she was already better and it was so convincing that she was gunnu stay because she did a better performance by a mile!

at the beginning they said they are all going to be fair with all the contestants and based their decisions on the sing-off alone!

ah well, i see JLS going in a week or 2
but based on the sing-off rachel definatly was the one who deserved to stay!

I feel morbid for raking up the live thread, but I thought I'd post my opinions anyway :spin2:

Alexandra - 10/10 - yet another great performance from her, she moved around the stage too. She's the only consistently excellent singer, and she put on a performance too. Well done.
Ruth - 8/10 - good vocals, started out a bit lukewarm but got very good very quickly. I was thrilled she was announced as first one through, too!
JLS - 5/10 - they've turned into Hope. I'm furious the judges haven't picked up on it, JLS have just allowed Aston to take all the lead vocals. I have only heard him and Marvin sing lead vocals, the others must be really annoyed! Their sing off performance was weak too, based on vocal ability shown tonight, they should have gone.
Rachel - 6/10 - Her voice didn't go well with Rule the World for me, and I did not get the whole acrobatic malarkey going on at the side haha! Her sing off performance was excellent though, and I feel sorry for her that she got voted out because Cheryl and Simon didn't want to cause an outrage like last year with Bev/Hope at this stage of the competition. That's how I saw it, anyway... She should have stayed based on singing that night, but overall, the right decision was made I guess.
Diana - 3/10 - crap. I'm getting sick of the judges praising her no matter what she does. She was out of tune most of the time, the music was drowning her out in parts, she does not deserve the praise she gets. Worst of the night for me, but she still deserves to be in the competition til the final IMO.
Eoghan - 7/10 - good performance, a little bit cringe worthy with the choir coming on behind him... :| I hope he isn't in the final, but based on tonight's performances, he's currently sitting as 3rd best in my opinion. Deary me, never thought I'd say that!
