BIG BROTHER grump Jason gave the Big Brother reunion a miss - to chat up girls in a pub.

But the Scot was booed in the boozer when he turned up there to toast clinching second place with his mates.

The moody bodybuilder was the only one of the 13 contestants to miss the reunion barbecue at the house on Sunday.

But it looks like he made some friends at The Elizabethan pub in Stockport, near Manchester.

Regular Melanie Gibson, 40, said: 'People were booing at him. 'I asked him about the barbecue and he said, 'I've had so much of it, I just wanted to get away and chill with my mates.' He was so nice in real life.'

Jason revealed he planned to fly back to Scotland with his friends this week.

I can see why Jason would want to not go to it but I also agree with you Scuzz it's only an hour and he could have managed an hour with the housemates

I can now fully see why Jason wants nothing more to do with BB. It's thanks to the crowd booing him. He said after Shell left "At least we won't get booed, that was a big *****in' worry for me man" or words to that effect.

When he was asked why he wanted to win in the Diary Room, his reason wasn't to disimilar from Nadia's. He wanted to feel wanted by the public. He had been a loner all his life and winning BB would have shown that people liked him. I find it interesting that Nadia's appeal for acceptance was met with an empathic "aww bless" while Jay's was treated with contempt.

If I'd met him in that pub and he was getting booed then, I'd have bought the poor guy a pint.

I don't blame him at all for trying to put BB behind him as soon as possible.

Hello JC. You have made a good point there, but unfortunately Jason was portrayed badly on BB and the public formed an opinion on what they saw. He shouldn't of had boos anyway, nobody should of done. I think he will definately get past this and from what I have read he will be the last one laughing with £70,000 in the bank.

Jason's a fool to himself. just one more hour and he could have shown what a nice guy he can be. Instead hot headed and arrogant he goes of on one and makes himself even more disliked. He is giving the jason haters amunition in which to throw at him.

Public humiliation for some BB contestants throughout all of the series has always been a risk and part of the nature of the show. Instead of crying over spilt milk he should stop sulking and crying foul and present himself as the person he want's people to see him as.

No one made him go on BB which has a reputation of changing peoples lives in the short term at least. He knew the score so he should stop the whinging and blame calling. At the end of the day it was his choice to expose his personality to the world at the hands of a TV company whose perpose is to generate the type of story lines that will make them money.

I agree a couple of hours longer or whatever it was would have made no difference at all and i can understand him being upset that Nadia beat him but thats still not a good excuse not to go.

it says in the sun today he believes that big brother edited out all his good bits and only showed his bad side. Thats why he snubbed them

Part of the problem lies with the fact that Jason also chose to tell outright fibs about himself and his sexuality. He said he was bisexual and later denied it, and he also said he had slept with however many people but said that wasn't true. Even his tale about being "Best Buttocks" of wherever in whatever year was exposed on BBLB for being different dates.

I can't help thinking that if he had stuck to his guns a bit more and been straight down the line rather than elaborating to get on the show, then he might not have the same reception now.

Anyway, fair play to him for the future. He seems like quite a vulnerable guy underneath the bravado and I hope some of the former housemates take him under their wing and give him some good advice!

jason clearly made alot of mistakes and it looks like he's realised what he's done!!

yeah the guy made mistakes, but nothing to warrant being hated. OK I'll admit I ruthlessly rip into housemates I don't like while the show's on. But this doesn't mean I'd treat them badly if ever I run into them. Once the cameras stop rolling, the housemates become real people again and deserve to be treated as such.

I agree, i cant beleive theres people around and i mean the whole UK that would still treat the housemates they dislike whilst they were in the house the same way if they ever bumped into them.

agree with you 100%, its s different story when in the house because you only compare a hm to another, once out the house then thats got to chnage. jason may be bad in the house and he isnt outside!!
