DANNII TO BE AXEDEXCLUSIVE Song row is final straw for Cowell

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue WILL be axed at the end of the series after her latest bust-up proved the final straw for show boss Simon Cowell.

Dannii has been frozen out following an argument over song choices with Louis Walsh last week.

Until now she has been able to rely on her friendship with Louis - who she has worked with on the last two series.

But he was said to be furious after she refused to allow his band JLS to sing Take That hit Rule The World on last night's show - because she'd earmarked it for her act, Rachel Hylton.

A source close to the panel said: "It was not the wisest move. Louis was the closest thing Dannii had to a friend on the show.

"When it came down to it, Cheryl Cole and Simon both took Louis' side. It's left Dannii vulnerable and alone."

Now insiders say Cowell has come to the conclusion that Dannii no longer has any future on the show.

Dannii has failed in recent attempts to build bridges with Cheryl.

Our well-placed source revealed: "Dannii knows her days are numbered unless she can get back on side with one of the judges.

"Recently she has been trying to get in with Cheryl by inviting her to lunch and suggesting nights out together.

"But Cheryl keeps making excuses.

"The fact is it's all too little, too late. It's now only a matter of time until the axe comes down."

The bust-up is the latest in a series of problems surrounding Dannii.

Earlier this month Cowell was said to be furious when former crack addict Rachel Hylton essentially sacked Dannii as her mentor following disputes over her performance and image. Mum-of-five Rachel, 26, said she would pick her own song and style her performance without any help from her Dannii - the first time an act has ignored their mentor.

And last month the Sunday Mirror told how Dannii clashed with Simon when last year's winner Leon Jackson sang live on the show.

She took full credit for Leon's success and told viewers on the live show: "Simon did not discover Leon. He didn't even want him in the competition."

We revealed how furious Simon reacted by telling Dannii: "Don't you ever show me up like that again."

The sunday mirror. Does anybody ever read this paper (or take it seriously?)

And if this is true, doubtful, it is Louis they need to sack not Dannii. He has no constructive advice ever to give contestnats and behaves like a baby if he does not get his way.

Cowell: Dannii's got to go

SIMON Cowell will AXE Dannii Minogue from X Factor at the end of this series—despite reassuring her she’ll KEEP her judge’s job.

TV’s “Mr Nasty” has had secret talks with ITV bosses, telling them he wants Dannii replaced with a male version of Cheryl Cole, we can reveal.

Dannii’s only hope is if one of her acts wins—which is unlikely, especially after Rachel Hylton was booted out.

Rachel, 26, lost out to boyband JLS in the sing-off despite a storming performance of I’m Not Leaving Without You from the movie Dream Girls last night. Dannii said afterwards: “She’s an amazing amazing girl. I’m really sad she has to go.”

Last night Dannii’s sister Kylie revealed she had been emailing Dannii about the way Simon was treating her.

Kylie said: “It’s not fair the hard time she’s been given. I think she does amazingly well. I would be terrible. I wouldn’t quite know how to deal with it.”

Simon fancies Ronan Keating, Gary Barlow or another male singer to sit on the panel with him, Cheryl and Louis.

But he has told Dannii her job is SAFE—just like he did with Kate Thornton before dumping her as show host in 2006.

An insider said: “Simon’s made his decision. Once his mind’s made up it’s very hard to change. Even though ITV has the final say, Simon is the driving force behind X Factor. If Simon wants a man in Dannii’s place he’ll get it.”

Simon and Dannii were very close in the last series—before Cheryl arrived. Two weeks ago Dannii told us: “He moved me away from him and now sits next to Cheryl and is in her ear all the time. It is a snub.” But she added: “He’s made it clear I’ll be back.”

Our source said: “He has to make Dannii think her position is safe or she might walk now.”

Tensions heightened among the judges last night Dannii broke down in tears on live TV after Louis accused her of stealing a song from his act JLS to give to Rachel. But Simon defended her on The Xtra Factor on ITV2, calling Louis a “sore loser”.

Gary Barlow/John Barrowman/Will Young for replacement plz :]

I'd rather them replace Louis though.

I think if anyone replaced Dannii on the panel then it'll be Will Young, he's not that old and he showed what a great mentor he can be when he worked with the acts a few weeks back. As with Cheryl, he knows what it's like to be in a talent competition.

If Simon is thinking of the future of the show then axing either Dannii or Louis is a good move, they need another judge like Cheryl Cole who is fresh and appealable.

He wants to keep her happy, he's hardly going to side with Louis which may result in Dannii leaving the show early. He always seemed like he liked Kate Thornton, but he axed her.

This is pathetic, Dannii's the only one on that panel who gives advice to the contestants. The judging panel will be an utter travesty next year unless Sharon's brought back which I highly doubt.

Another week another Dannii story, it's getting old now. If anyone's gonna go I can see it being Louis, he's been stepping on a lot of toes this series.

Absolutely hope this is false, if Dannii goes then I'll be shocked, she's probably the only judge bar Simon who gives an honest, relevant opinion, and Simon tends to abuse his status as the all-seeing all-knowing judge to influence the public.

...And Lily wants the job!

LILY Allen has got her eye on Dannii’s job—even though she’s not a fella!

The singer, 23, told us that Simon’s already said she’s great on TV. She revealed: “He spoke to me about being on TV after I was a judge on ITV’s Orange Playlist. He said I was brilliant on it and we should have a meeting.

“He gave me his number but I didn’t call him.” Then she giggled: “I’d love to do X Factor. As long as I sat next to Simon it’d be a right laugh.” Maybe she should sport a tash and tie...

<3 Lily to do it.

Her song choices are bizarre to say the least but at least she gives a balanced opinion. Danni is know for being a bit precious and easy to upset so I'm not that surprised at her water works on Saturday. Louis on the other hand is becoming snide and quite spiteful.

I don't know what all the fuss was about. Once again the judges steal the headlines from the performers. TBH, I didn't think 'rule the world' did rachel any favours anyway. There was no spark in her performance, unlike the sing-off , which was her best apart from Big Band week. But too little, too late.
