A red rose and backseat cuddle for X Factor teens Diana Vickers and Eoghan QuiggIf Diana Vickers and Eoghan Quigg were hoping to quell rumours of a romance, they're not exactly doing a very good job of it.
The X Factor contestants were spotted cosying up in the back of a cab after Saturday night's performance.
Diana, 17, did her best to act coy while 16-year-old Eoghan had a single red rose in hand.
It follows persistent reports that the teen pair, who both made it through to the next round after the Take That themed night, have been engaging in a little flirtation in recent weeks.
Sources say their affection for each other is the show's worst kept secret.
An insider said: 'They don't care who knows they're an item any more. They're always together and everybody knows they are a couple now.'
Another adds: 'It's obvious there is an attraction.'
But Diana, who is mentored by Cheryl Cole, insists she remains loyal to her boyfriend Chris Jones, from her home town of Blackburn.
She said over the weekend: 'Eoghan is my best friend in the competition and he gives me with a lot of support. But I am totally committed to Chris. He and my family have been pillars of support during my time on the show.'
Manchester University student Chris added: 'Diana and I are very close - we talk on the phone every day. I'm not threatened by her friendship with Eoghan and I'll support her all the way.'
Meanwhile, Diana and Eoghan are firm favourites to make it to the final, alongside Alexandra Burke.
Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: 'A few weeks ago Diana appeared a shoo-in to win the show. But all that's changed and her favouritism is coming under increasing threat. It's any one from three as far as we're concerned.
'Usually there's a stand out favourite at this stage, but that's not the case this year.'
