Missing text after quoting...

I dont know if anyone else is suffering but there seems to be a lot of quote replies with no response.

I often see people quote something so you can see the original text in the quote box but there is no reply underneath.

I wondered if there was just a smilie that's been replied with by to check I often click on the quote to see what the member has replied with but there is still nothing

I'll try and give an example......

(sorry Annie honey..... it was the only one I could remember but this is what it looks like)

I think people are doing it to show that they have the same opinion, so supposen for instance some agrees that Alexandra should win the x factor and someone types:

someone else may agree and quote it to show that they have the same opinion. If that makes sence lol?

Its when people just agree with what the person said before...

They just quote it

It shows they went into the thread to say the same thing, or agree with the sentiments. So by quoting it and saying nothing, it's like you're saying it.

If you Have the same opinion or thoughts as someone, Then you can quote it, without saying anything, to show that you have nothing else to say.. but that

I understand now..... I dont get why you dont just comment but meh..... I would rather actually say that I agree with someones posts, I think personally than just to quote without commenting. Its just more polite... but thats just me :whistle:
