Not much to discuss at the moment, with the series being over 6 or 7 months away and the auditions not being till January. So I thought I'd do a weekly topic to discuss what we would like to see.

The first one, what day should it launch? Big Brother's 1-6 launched on a Friday (I believe), 7 and 9 launched on a Thursday and 8 on a Wednesday.

In terms of convenience for you, ratings and personal preference, what day of the week would you like to see Big Brother 10 kick off on?

For me it's a Saturday on the first week after Britain's Got Talent. It would be great in ratings terms as Britain's Got Talent's 13 million finale viewers could be used to advertise the show to and personally it would allow me to watch them enter and see their first night's highlights before I go back to college on the Monday.

Failing Saturday, Friday but there are less potential viewers there as most people will be out drinking.

I would love so see a Sunday launch and I think we could see one for CBB6
A lot of people are watching TV on a Sunday and there is less competition for it audience and most importantly the 16-34's
I did love the Friday launches but for ratings it wont work again.
The Saturday launch is a nice idea but it could be a disaster because C4 never do well on a Saturday and it would all come down to the weather.

I agree. BB's ratings always dip at the weekend, so launching on a Sunday and then giving them the chance to build during the week makes most sense.

It could also help solve the first week eviction process, by basically not having one. Instead nominations take place on the Thursday and are shown and revealed on the Friday in place of the usual eviction.

Sunday to ensure a decent launch ratings and let it build up from then. Plus there's not much else on Sundays.

Apart from 8 million a night each heartbeat and antiques roadshow. Different core audience I know, but still a large chunk of viewers.

it should launch quite early this year, not straight after cbb but a couple of months like April

Not a good idea imo if people have only just come off the back of one series and they see an ad saying "big brother is back" they'll be like "again??" and might not bother watching.

I think a Sunday Launch would be best appropiate, especially if C4 want the ratings. Theres nothing to watch on a Sunday so BB would be a ratings smash!

It should definately finish on the Friday (with no more than 4 finalists), with a bigger reunion show on the Sunday which would also include the highlights from the last day. This would be in the regular BB slot and fronted by Davina, but co-hosted by George and Jack (assuming they're both still there, which I hope they are!). The BBLB slot would remain but just concentrate on the finalists.

Ideally for me it would launch on a Sunday and run for 90 days (through to the Friday), with the first eviction on Day 13 (the second Friday). That means 11 eviction nights so assuming one is a double and no midweek evictions we could get away with as few as 16 housemates - 18 max to cover drop outs!
