The problem with Alex?

A lot of people say that they can't connect with Alexandra for some reason, but is it because week after week she comes out and gives a faultless performance, so we expect it from her and she delivers whereas the rest have been hit and miss and we don't know what we're getting?

I think she gets less off-stage camera time than the others, so we don't get to see much of her personality.

I luv Alex, she has a lovely personality, we see that in her VT, she is always happy and laughing.

I don't think she's bad, I just find her... dull in all honesty, theres nothing about her voice that makes me want to pick up the phone for her.

Plus the fact that she got through because of her sob story over at least 3 other better girls kinda puts me off her too.

I find her boring. She is just a Leona clone. Someone original needs to win.

i dont like her .. her voice doesnt even make me go wow thats really good i find her average and boring

Alex is amazing, the only problem is that she doesnt get enough media revolving around her when all the others get plenty

Her voice is well above average (more than we can say for her mentor Cheryl), but Alex has zero charisma and she lacks confidence in both her personality and in her performances. Don't get me wrong, she deserves to be in the final far more than the dreadful Alisha did last year, but I think Alex is still too eager to please.

Even Laura who had some visible trouble with nerves still managed to look like a performer and wasn't constantly trying to keep her eyes on the camera the way Alex does.

I think part of the problem is the constant "She's not as good as Leona" comments that I've seen banded about - since when did she claim to be like Leona, or better than Leona? People are associating them because of their skin colour, it might be intentional or it might not be, but to me that's the only plausible reason. The only act who've shown any sort of personality are JLS - that they're a bit cheeky with a good sense of humour.

theres not realy that many people branding alex as *claiming to be better than leona!*

the problem with alex is that, she isnt THAT good!

I find her VT's all a little forced as she was nothing like that near the start- and that is when the "Alex has no personality" crap started, so I think they try and show more personality each week, which ends up feeling forced to me.

it feels realy forced...so it kinda puts people off.
