Is it possible to "crop" a song?

I recently learned how to rip songs from YT to iTunes using this site:http://vidtomp3.com/mp3_details.php?video=vidtomp3.com-12264129152983.mp3

The trouble is that the mp3 is like 10 times the legnth of the actual song so there's like 20 mins of silence. Does anyone know how I could cut out the silent bit?

Or alternatively, does anyone know another way to rip the songs from YT so that thing won't happen?

If you mean by convering mp3 files from YouTube. By that I mean, pasting the link into a file converting site and then you have the song in it's 3:00 (whatever) length to listen to as mp3.

http://www.zamzar.co.uk is the best site for that, I use that. It takes about 30-45 minutes for the link to be sent to your email (sometimes 5 minutes depending what time of the day you do it, like now it would take longer), then go to your inbox and click the link and just download and save it. It's the actual length of the YouTube video that you put in, so no added 20 minutes or whatever.

Like I said, it might take longer at this time due to it being a busy hour... if you did it at like 1:00am it'd take 5 minutes probably.
