She was not the worst!

JLS, Eoghan - and even Diana overall - were worse tonight!

I can't believe it!

I hope theres a big massive revolt against this. EOGHAN, JLS AND DIANA WERE CRAP TONIGHT - Ruth just shows her talent and its shinign right now on the programme.

The Great British Public are terrible

I am so PISSED OFF!! Have the British public got no eye for talent?!! Instead they keep that talentless wreck Diana in.

Not enough support. Anyone who's been in the bottom two in recent series' have never done well. We've never had a winner who's been in the bottom two. I'm glad that she made it this far, and hopefully she'll do well out of the X Factor. I think this series as a whole is an example of why we need to trial a "vote to evict" on the X Factor for the first half, then a vote to win for the second half of the competition, because we wouldn't have the likes of Daniel for so long, and lose the likes of Austin and Laura so early. The number of people who dislike Eoghan and Diana is proportionally bigger because of the number of people who do like them - having a vote to evict at the start of the competition would totally negate the "teenage fan club" vote, because they can't have a snowball effect vote, they'd have to vote off all the other acts an equal number of times which probably wouldn't happen (you never know...) and that way, assuming your favourite act makes it to the latter stages, you build up a fan base. It would be controversial but I think it would probably preserve talent more than the current set up. It won't ever happen, but it'd be interesting to see in action.

I personally believe its something to do with the great British public and those of it who are rascist. I honestly do. Some people might be so stupid as to say "I don't want a Spanish woman winning this competition"

Ruth has a fantastic voice and this is a SINGING competition, out of Eoghan and Ruth, RUTH is the clear one who should stay in the competiton.

This show is utter rubbish now, I dont even feel like watching it anymore.

JLS or Eoghan should've gone tonight!

We shouldn't be surprised, it was obvious she didn't have the support after being in the bottom 2 a few times.
She didn't deserve to go but she just didn't have the support

Exactly. Ruth was one of my favourites but I think it was obvious it was going to happen either this week or next week. In some ways, you could argue that had she been in the bottom two last week, she would have been safe this week - because JLS fans would have no idea that JLS were lacking in support and they'd have possibly been out tonight.

I'm happy that she lasted so long though, personally!

I know. Each week was really agonising, I kept thinking "it's this week, surely..."
