Ruth Lorenzo in Latin album talksRuth Lorenzo may be releasing a Latin music album on Simon Cowell's label.

The Spanish siren, who has just been booted off The X Factor, is tipped to follow in the footsteps of Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, the Daily Star reports.

"I really think I can capture the Latin market, after all they love rock and that's what I do best," Ruth said.

The 26-year-old added that she didn't mind singing in Spanish, despite arguments with Simon during the show when he insisted she sing in her mother tongue.

"I didn't want to sing in Spanish during the competition because I thought it was disrespectful because I was on a British show.

"But of course I would love to release a Spanish album," she said.

Ruth has already discussed her future career with music mogul Simon, who thinks she could be as successful as Leona Lewis in the lucrative Latin market.

Cool, good luck to her. I wouldn't buy her music personally.

This is probably why Simon wanted Ruth to sing in Spanish. Cowell can always spot a gap in a market.

She just denied the rumor on the ITV, but she could be lying because she hasn't had time to talk properly to Cowell yet.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Her next interview should be on Radio 5 live in the next hour, and they are opening the phone lines so you can talk to her.

I saw that interview too.....she hasn't spoken to Cowell yet. Just to say I thought her performance on Saturday was AT LEAST good enough for the last four. It was always going to be hard after being in the bottom 2 in week 2, but to have made it to fifth place is still brilliant for a non-British national. I believe that whatever musical path she follows, she will do well. Her attitude is first class. Compare her to some of the others who have left before. And well done to the fans on here (and elsewhere) who have given her so much support over the past few weeks........it's been fun, and there's more to come from Lorenzo!!
