Diana: The claw's here to stayDiana Vickers said she has no intention of stopping her now-famous "claw" action while she performs on The X Factor.
Speaking at a secret gig for competition winners, the 17-year-old said the jibes about her hand movements - which include a Facebook group devoted to it - did not get her down.
"It doesn't upset me - if anything I find it really funny," she said.
"I sort of tamed it a bit on Saturday night because it's just so natural, if I was stood there really wooden people would be like 'why is she not moving?', so it's just something I do naturally and I talk with my hands as well."
Diana added that she found it strange people were so interested in her love life - with rumours abounding about a possible relationship with fellow contestant Eoghan Quigg.
"I don't know why people are so interested in the love life of a 17-year-old girl, when they have love lives of their own," she said.
Marvin Humes, 23, of boy band JLS also denied rumours he fancied Diana - after the pair were spotted sharing a private joke.
"She's too young for me, plus having a relationship in The X Factor house would be a really bad idea," he said.

If they didn't care about dancing, they wouldn't have had Brian Friedman on the show for so long. He features in the show every week, so you get the impression they are actually quite keen on the acts to dance.

Yes keen but theres nothing that says the acts HAVE to dance, the only one who ever does is Alexandra anyways

Yeah on a regular basis, but JLS and Eoghan have also given it a go, I think I'd probably like Diana more if she gave it a go. Disco week was the only real opportunity for her to do so, and she didn't, which kind of supports the belief she's not suited to the X Factor (which is a talent competition that's meant to show case versatility)

Its not her fault, i'd like to see you do a big dance routine to Evreyody Hurts, fair enough she didnt dance in Disco week but thats becse Brian had those stupid rollerskaters all around her

I did say that the only opportunity for her to dance was in Disco Week, I'm not expecting her to put on a Britney-esque performance to a ballad
I can see where you're coming from, but the only movement she made during that performance was towards the end where she stood up. It wasn't inspiring.

Well hopefully she has one she can dance to this week, a more upbeat one to get her old self back like she was like in the secret gig video

Brian choreographs (sp) the performances, not Diana. It's not her fault that she didn't dance during disco week.

I'd argue that point, I think Brian really wants her to dance but the song choice has never really fitted around his plans, which is the problem - not Brian, not Diana, but Cheryl's song choices for her. However, if she gets any songs this week that she could dance to, I'll be expecting some choreography, but I doubt we'll see Diana dance =/

I bet we do. The judges pick a song this week, so there is no way that it won't be an upbeat one.

But then will Cheryl take a gamble so close to the final? I hope you're right, if she does, then even if it's undeniably crap, I'll at least like Diana more than I do now, just out of respect for taking a risk!

I reckon she will. Diana has nothing to lose. She isn't the favourite anymore, she might aswell do something.

Sorry in which case he said this:

I think the dancing comment is ridiculous. It's not a dancing show. It's not Strictly or whatever it's called!
Problem with that comment was the show employs a choreographer that use to work on Britney Spears dance routines. So if Simple Simon really believes that dancing isn't part of the show why doesn't he just give him the sack and save the show a fortune.

Cheography isnt just for the contestants its for the stage set up and the musicians and hired dancers aswell thats why they would still need brian even if the acts didnt dance
