Do you think Alex will have the same chart topping sucess as Leona Lewis or not? Will she be able to top not only the UK chart but the US chart and international charts as well?
Lewis.

Same. If anything, Alexandra's leaning more towards pop/r&b music, Leona's nothing like that at all.

There is no comparison. They are completely different.

Unfortunately she will be, I think that is where her career is heading.

No, unless she takes on a Beyonce Style and not emulate Leona. She'll be successful in the UK but I'm not sure about worldwide success. Never say Never though. I think she'd suffer from Leona Comparisions in America.

I don't think she'd suffer from Leona comparisons in America: they don't have the X Factor there, they'd only see the post-X Factor Alexandra whose music, I think, will be hugely different to Leona's (imagining that she wins)

I was thinking that they'd see her as a female Brit with a powerful voice I'd think they'd compare them on the X Factor link (since they mentioned it a lot in american interviews with Leona). I hope she does well, even if my rage spot of posting a few minutes ago suggested otherwise.

Ahh OK I get you now! I guess she could suffer in that sense. Since Kelly Clarkson won, all the subsequent winners of American Idol have only been famous in the USA so I guess there's no counter argument with an example to what you're saying, but I don't think Alex would suffer too badly, imagining she won and reached the USA etc.
