5 million
I think the below 3 million options are a bit pointless, imo, it will get between 4m-7m.
I doubt it will do that badly
Locke.

A major celeb in Channel 4's eyes is Jeremy Kyle.

Even with a "major" celeb going in I would say 2-3mil and 4mil tops.

I'd imagine that more people would watch Celebrity BB than regular BB? And BB9 wasn't really advertised, and CBB will be.

How was BB9 not advertised?
There were eye flashes 3 WEEKS before launch and no not as many people watch CBB as normal BB I don't think.

Id say 4-5 leaning more towards 4 though

Depending what celebrities are rumoured it could be anywhere from 4.5m - 6.5m

Well I didn't see it advertised once. I only found out it was on when launch night was repeated the next day on E4 when I was wanting to watch an episode of Friends.

It depends really but I would say it was well advertised - what more can C4 do than advertise for 3 weeks non-stop?
But does anyone know the CBB5 launch night ratings?
BB9 launch got 5.8 so this will have no problem getting 6.4
6.1m
People are anticipating CBB (even those who don't watch proper BB) and BB9 held on to 5m viewers, plus any casual viewers and viewers the rumoured names will attract.

A launch show is always going to break the 4 million barrier, I think some people are been way too pessimistic.
Seeing as it's the return of CBB as well and depending on the rumoured line-up, I'm fairly confident it will get 5 million viewers at least, if not pushing 6 or higher.

How can I vote for 8million?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/dec/08/tvratings-television2
ITV did so well with ratings
9million+ for that final.
If Endemol pick great stars (young and real old)
and some Angry people
and a Politician back bencher
and a Eco Green nutter
they could also get the ITV ratings.
But if they refuse to allow online Live Feed
then I will hate them for that.

Not very optimistic are you, but even if you'd offered 5m+, I'd have stuck with 4-5m. However there isn't too much competition in the slot - a Midsomer Murders repeat, a Morcambe and Wise clip show and some religious documentary.

I think this will be the poorest ratings for a UK big brother series launch night ever.

Yes who they Pick
will control the ratings.
Loads of Education Women workers watched one year due to
Germaine Greer, for example.
