Diana Vickers was just as surprised as we were when Eoghan burst onto the stage and ran toward her at the end of last night's show.
The evicted contestant was startled by her chum's outburst - and didn't know what to do!
She told us, "When Eoghan ran onto the stage it was the best moment in my life".
"It was so emotional. I was just singing my song, but I found it difficult to continue because I was thinking so much about the words of the song. I knew I wasn't singing well because I was almost crying at the same time".
"Then Eoghan came forward - I had no idea he was rushing the stage. I didn't know anyone was running towards me because I was so lost in the song".
But the next thing I knew suddenly I had someone's arms around me and then everyone was hugging me - I loved that".
But the unexpected show of emotion sent our Diana into a bit of a tizz, wondering if she should carry on trying to sing the song.
"The music was still playing and I knew I should still be singing. I was like, 'Should I start to sing again?'"
"But I didn't want to. When everyone came onto the stage and hugged me, I was so happy. It was the perfect ending to everything."
Eoghan and Diana continued to say their goodbyes on Xtra Factor, and the tabloids haven't been slow to notice there was a bit of hand-holding going on.
Says Diana, "I know people will talk about it - but I don't care. Nothing will stop them writing whatever they like. Only me and Eoghan know what its like to be such good friends".
Well i think he had a Funny run!
